Booking an activity and paying for it
From the calendar to the confirmation. Your place is held from the start, which gives you time to pay without losing it.
-
Find the activity
Open “Calendar”. Dates are grouped by day, the soonest first. Three filters combine:
- The activity type — tick as many as you want.
- A period, with a start date and an end date.
- “Hide full activities”, if you are only looking for where places remain.
-
Read the activity page
Click the activity name. The page gives the location, the meeting point, the price per place, the cost in credits, how many places remain, and until when cancelling is free. That deadline belongs to this activity: read it, it does not necessarily apply to the next one.
If people are already signed up, a “Participant list” button shows those who allowed their first name or their dog's name to appear. The others are counted without being named.
-
Choose the number of places
The menu offers the number of places with the total price beside each choice; the maximum depends on the activity. Click “Book”: the place is yours immediately, and the time you have left to pay is written under the button.
-
A promotional code, if you have one
On the summary, the “promo code” field applies to the amount in money. A code does not combine with payment in credits: if you pay with credits, the discount is removed and the cost in credits stays the one set for the slot.
-
Pay
The summary offers the means available for this booking:
- Your credits, if you have enough and they apply to this activity type. The usable balance is shown under the button.
- Online payment — Bancontact, card, PayPal. You leave the site for the payment, then come back.
- Payment on site, in cash or by QR code. It only appears in specific cases: on a place reopened by the waiting list, and shortly before the start. Otherwise the screen explains why it isn't offered.
-
The confirmation
The booking becomes “confirmed” and an email goes out with the reference, the time and the meeting point. If the names of the people coming with you were asked for, you will have entered them before paying; the terms box is in the same place.
-
Put the appointment in your calendar
Under the confirmation, two buttons add the activity to your calendar with the date, the time and the place. The first opens Google Calendar; the second downloads a file every other calendar program can read — Outlook, Apple Calendar, Thunderbird. Both links are in the confirmation email and under “My bookings”: if the appointment ever vanishes from your calendar, you can put it back without writing to us.
If the activity is full
You can join the waiting list. It books nothing straight away, but it gives you the advantage if a place is freed.
-
Join the list
On the full activity's page, state how many places you want and confirm. Nothing is paid, nothing is committed.
-
Be told
As soon as a place is freed, everyone on the list receives an email at the same time, and the place is reserved for them for the period stated on screen before becoming public again.
-
Take the place
Return to the activity page and book normally. First come, first served: the rank shown is indicative and does not order anyone's chances, since everybody is told at once.
Common questions
- My place was no longer held when I tried to pay.
- The time allowed had run out and the place went back on sale. Nothing was charged. Start again from the activity page, if it is still available.
- The activity says the hour is taken under another format.
- That hour offers several formats — a walk and a class, for instance — of which only one can happen, and somebody booked the other. It isn't a question of places: the waiting list is therefore not offered, and another date is the better bet.
- I have credits, but I'm told I don't have enough.
- A batch of credits can be limited to certain activity types. The screen then separates your total balance from the part usable here, and tells you which one falls short.
- My promotional code has disappeared.
- You switched to paying with credits, which do not accept codes. Go back to paying in money and the field returns.
- The screen says the payment is being checked.
- The bank's confirmation sometimes arrives a few seconds after you return. The page refreshes on its own: do not pay a second time.
